Co-op Growing Leaders 4-H Sponsorship
ActionsIn an effort to make a difference in our communities and to assist our local 4-H programming, we have partnered with other local Co-ops throughout the province as sponsors of the new Co-op Growing Leaders program — an exciting initiative that will fund new 4-H Alberta members. This partnership is new to South Country but is a program that is going into it's third year of funding and is only gaining momentum. Thirteen Alberta Co-op's listed below are collaboratively fulfilling the $50,000 Gold Clover 4-H Alberta Sponsorship level for the 2024-2025 program year. $26,000 was utilized last year to fund 209 NEW members into the 4-H program! We're excited to see how those numbers increase for the 2024-2025 season.
The CO-OP Growing Leaders program will cover all age ranges from Cleaver to Seniors, and cover membership fees for the new participant, both provincial registration fees and the local club fees (up to $200 total for first year members). This program is open to anyone who has not previously been involved with 4-H Alberta (Cleaver Kids are welcome to apply if they are first year cleaver members).
South Country Co-op's trading area is vast and supports the following communities and their surrounding areas: Medicine Hat, Vauxhall, Oyen, Acadia Valley, Brooks, Taber, Bassano, Lethbridge, Dunmore, Redcliff, Foremost, Barons, Claresholm, High River, Lomond, Bow Island, Duchess, Hays, and Picture Butte. Participants who are located within these areas will apply with South Country as their selected Co-op location.
