South Country Co-op Appoints New CEO
ActionsThe Board of Directors, Management, and Team at South Country Co-op are pleased to welcome Graham Getz to the company as the Chief Executive Officer.
Graham brings over 27 years of Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) experience to the table, after starting his career as a student clerk in Birch Hills, SK in 1996. He worked his way up, from Food Clerk, to Food Manager, to General Manager, to Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) Retail Advisor. In 2013, he became the General Manager of St. Paul & District Co-op before their amalgamation with Eastalta Co-op to create Cornerstone Co-op.
During his time with Cornerstone, Graham developed a strong leadership style, exemplifying co-operative values while building strong relationships with the Board of Directors, leadership teams, front-line team members, local community leaders, and indigenous communities. He is a vocal supporter of the co-operative system and developing co-operative partnerships across the province.
Graham is a fan of continuous learning and has taken many training courses and seminars during his time with the CRS. As well, he's pursued business programs with Edwards School of Business and Queen's University. He's also taken two certificate programs through Blue Quills University and the University of Alberta for his own personal journey of Truth and Reconciliation.
Graham has applied his business acumen outside of his regular job as a Director with the St. Paul and District Chamber of Commerce, and as President of St. Paul Minor Football.
Outside of work, Graham enjoys spending time with his family: wife Camille and kids, Kelton and Kayla. They're big fans of the Okanagan and catch all the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Toronto Blue Jays games they can!
Please join us in welcoming Graham to South Country Co-op!
