Northlands Grand Re-opening

South Country Co-op held a grand opening celebration Friday to officially bring to a close the 9 month long renovation of their Northlands Food Centre. The event included speeches from the Vice President of the board of directors, local dignitaries, President of the Chamber of Commerce and their very own CEO Mike Clement. There was a ceremonial ribbon cutting and of course cake!

Staff and Management of South Country Co-op are extremely proud to have used local contractors for 98% of the entire $6 million dollar renovation. In an economy that has everyone tightening their belts, South Country Co-op continues to invest in and grow within the communities they serve.

They also used state of the art technology throughout the facility. This includes a huge commitment to energy efficiency on all levels.
