$12,000 Donation to Local Food Banks
April 6, 2018
The Medicine Hat and District Food Bank, along with the Taber Food Bank, received a donation of $12,000 worth of turkeys this week.
South Country Co-op donated to the Medicine Hat and District Food bank, along with the Taber Food bank, a large donation of much needed turkeys this week. South Country Co-op donated more than 190 cases of frozen turkeys to the Food Banks valued at approximately $12,000. Co-executive director for the Food Bank Tammy Vanderloh says the donation will help ensure Food Bank clients get the proper protein they need. Food banks suffer from a shortage of proteins. And this donation will go a long way to feed hungry families. South Country Co-op is proud to be a huge supporter of local food banks.
