Fleet Administrator – Temporary Full-Time (1 Year)
The Fleet Administrator is responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of the electronic fleet information databases. Under the direction and leadership of the Fleet Manager the Fleet Administrator must effectively and efficiently manage the development and direction of the electronic fleet information databases to ensure compliance, while building relationships and ensuring the integration of the fleet information databases within all sectors of the operations. This position will ensure all locations are meeting National and provincial standards and procedures, managing, auditing, and tracking inventory and bookings. Assisting in auditing inspections, maintenance of driver logs, and completion of reports within the limits of approved programs, policies, procedures and association guidelines.
Qualifications: Candidates must demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills, along with the ability to work independently and the ability to work well within multi-generational teams. Applicants should be self-reliant, goal oriented and have the ability to set and adjust priorities and schedules.
a) Knowledge of National Safety Code and Alberta Transportation legislation would be considered an asset
b) Knowledge and experience with telematics, maintenance and electronic log software platforms, Keep Truckin’ is preferred
c) Experience with coaching and providing feedback to other Team Members
d) Experience in developing relationships with external and internal customers on complex issues and transactions
e) High attention to detail
f) Strong computer and database management skills, strong Microsoft Excel experience
g) Strong written and oral communication
h) Ability to build and maintain relationships with departments, divisions, key business partners and customers
i) Able to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome internal challenges or obstacles
j) A clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, and procedures and other operational issues faced by the organization
k) Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
